Hello there! 👋

We are a family from Belgium with two kids, an enthusiastic four-legged friend, and above all, a big dream. After years of hard work, renovating, studying, and dealing with loss, we began to think about what truly matters in life. That's when we decided to turn our lives upside down: we sold our house, packed our bags, and traded stability for adventure. Now, we are preparing to travel through Europe with our motorhome, looking for new destinations, more quality time, and the opportunity to rediscover ourselves.

Who are we?

We are Stephany and Giovanni, and together with our children Noya and Jace, and our dog Ula, we make up a family with a big dream: to live in freedom, adventure, and more meaning.

My life path didn't begin the way I had imagined. When I was 17, I moved out on my own, which meant leaving school and starting work to make ends meet. I began as a cleaner and worked my way up from warehouse worker to administrative assistant. But I wanted more. I wanted a better future for my children, so I decided to go back to school later in life. This year, I earned my bachelor’s degree in business management!

However, it was the sudden loss of my brother, who was only 36, that completely changed my perspective on life. That loss taught me that life is too short not to live it to the fullest! I didn’t want to work 40 hours a week for a boss anymore; I wanted more time with my family, to enjoy more, and to chase our dreams. Giovanni, my partner, who also worked long hours, felt the same: he wanted to spend more time with our family and enjoy life more!

During our renovation, we noticed how quickly our oldest daughter, Noya, had grown up. We realized that we had let too many years go by without really living. When our son Jace came along, it became even clearer: we didn’t want to miss anything else.

So, we decided to leave everything behind and go on an adventure. Not later, not when we retire, but NOW!

Why this blog?

Souls on the Road is more than just a travel blog. It’s our space to share our experiences, lessons, and challenges:

• Traveling with kids: how do we combine homeschooling and daily family life in a motorhome?

• Living on the road: from practical tips on minimalist travel to our favorite destinations.

• Personal growth: our journey isn’t just about covering miles, but also about getting closer to ourselves and each other.

We hope our stories inspire you to follow your own dreams and, most importantly, to stop putting things off! Maybe that means taking a road trip like we’re doing, or maybe it’s something entirely different. Whatever your dream is, we want to show that it’s possible if you dare to choose what you truly want.
